What is the usage method of polypropylene fiber

Usage of polypropylene fiber:

1. Feeding sequence and method: When using, add polypropylene fibers and aggregates such as sand and stone at the same time, add water and mix wet.

2. Fiber reinforced concrete mixing: The mixing method of dry mixing followed by wet mixing should be adopted, and the dry mixing time should not be less than 15 seconds to ensure that the polypropylene fibers can be mixed evenly in the concrete. Depending on the uniformity of the entire mixing process, the mixing time should be appropriately extended by about 15 seconds.

3. Adjustment of slump: Due to the thickening effect of polypropylene fibers, the viscosity of concrete will increase, resulting in a slight decrease in slump. Each project requires a different slump, so the slump should be adjusted through experiments before use. If the slump cannot meet the construction requirements, water should not be added to improve the slump. Instead, plasticizers or water reducers should be used appropriately to improve the slump to meet the construction requirements.

4. Surface shape and curing: Concrete mixed with polypropylene fibers has no special requirements during molding, but it should be ensured that the concrete is fully compacted. Normal concrete curing can be carried out, and early curing of concrete cannot be relaxed due to the addition of fibers.
